+1
At the moment there is no "SAC infrastructure accessible" way
to determine the list of groups, so this would need to be
a manual process - the agenda would need to be explicitly
Cc:'d to the community -discuss aliases related to the cases
and fasttracks being discussed.
With a dozen or more cases on each agenda (full + fast-tracks),
this does not seem feasible or scalable as things stand today.
On the other hand, if we modified our information gathering
tools (templates, scripts, etc) to ask for this information,
and recorded it somewhere, we could then use that info to
start automating things. The downside of gathering the
interest list info at case submission time is that, at
least for full cases that may take 6+ months to complete,
there is ample time for that info to become stale and
invalid.
Looking ahead, the best of all worlds would be a way to
dynamically determine the "interest list" about a project
from the relationships already managed and tracked as part
of the OGB/Community governance and (somewhat) on the
OS.o website...
The feedback from the first couple of open ARC cases was
that the communities and projects did NOT really want to
be auto-included in the ARC discussion itself, but (as you
suggest) wanted to be informed of discussions happening
elsewhere.
Thoughts?

PS: The place for these meta discussions is on the "ARC
Community discussion alias" (aka arc-discuss at os.o), and
not the "review a project alias" (aka PSARC-EXT and/or
opensolaris-arc at os.o). I've set Reply-To there and Bcc'd
PSARC-ext.
This means that, if you are a "closed PSARC member", you
wish to participate in the development of an OpenSolaris
ARC, and have not yet joined the OpenSolaris ARC community,
you should do so now:
