Hi Ralph,

Yeah, I downloaded RPCemu but it give 'segmentation fault' when I try to run it
:-(

I will google about for any fixes - maybe it doesn't like x86_64 versions?

WRT 'Elite' I would love to play 'Arc Elite' on linux emulator - the ArcEm
emulator is really close - it loads fine using the disk image. But what is
needed is fullscreen toggle & slow down the emulation on fast PC's. 'Arc Elite'
is generally regarded as the best 'classic Elite' version - completely
rewritten in 1991 and has extra features, missions, ships etc.

In the meantime, I've found "oolite" on linux - downloadable via 'synaptic/yum'
package manager ;-)

Many thanks for your help!

Cheers,
Pat/

Another option would be to look at one of the later emulators. There's
Arculator and RPCemu. I don't know much about them, e.g. how good their
Linux ports are, or whether they provide those features.
