There's a lot of important changes sitting in there. I just fixed the
python 2.6 deprecation warnings, and added some FHS man page
detection... not sure if it's needed though
I had sent Jason a python 2.6 patch but I guess he has been busy
lately. Can you push this patch which fixes optdepends stuff

I have been using the git version for a while and think a new release
would be good.
