Okay, sent this to the wrong list at first. Two problems: 1) findmnt/libmount broken with 3.14 - fixing that now. 2) util-linux/switch_root has problems (this seems like the same issue), see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1399663
