perhaps he should manually define the different REPOs such as core, extra and community, etc. and make sure pacman knows to retrieve servers in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist. what's more, sometimes some secondary servers are faster than the ones provided in original mirrorlist. > > Maybe you could explain a bit more of what environment in particular you > want. >
