Signoff x86_64. The following is not related to the kernel itself, but in case when somebody builds a device driver alone, the installation script may not know about *.ko.gz files and install "duplicates" which may crash the system. It's just happened to me with the latest gspca webcam drivers. Cheers, Sergey
