I have carddav contacts from my own cyrus-imapd instance and calendar
from google, but it is still a hassle to recreate configs on my 3 or 4
instances.....

Also, are you using vanilla TB, or do you have a fork / custom user.js?
vanilla TB updated with pacman with a few extensions.
