The haskell dependencies were the reason I chose not to install either.
I just use shellcheck.net online, which works fine, I don't have
anything proprietary I worry about in shell scripts.
I read the RSS feed for extra-testing, core-testing and core, and I
always wondered just what amount of resources go into continually
packaging 20, 30, ... haskell packages on a daily basis.
shellcheck locally would be a very nice to have tool, so if the
dependencies can be brought to a manageable number that would be a plus.
