This was tracked down (on the openSUSE list) to changes in how
youtube behaves with multiple ad blockers enabled. (to my disappointment
the source was reported as "asked AI", so take that with a grain of
salt) On the box in question I had Ublock-origins, NoScript and
Ghostery enabled. Disabling Ghostery has improved the issue. I had no
problem running all 3 on 156, the new difficulties appeared with 157.
Sorry for the noise. If I get a definite diagnostic of how?/why? I'll
follow up further with the details. But the effect on upgrade was
instant in my case.
