Dear Arch Linux Mirror Administrators,
Greetings from Qilu University of Technology (Qilu Tech). We are writing to
formally apply for our mirror site (mirrors.qlu.edu.cn) to be added as a Tier 1
mirror node in the Arch Linux official mirror network, with permission to sync
directly from rsync://rsync.archlinux.org/ftp_tier1/.
Our mirror has recently been upgraded with dedicated access to the China
Education and Research Network (CERNET) as a backbone node in Shandong
Province, providing:
High-speed IPv6 connectivity with a 20 Gbps dedicated bandwidth, ensuring
excellent network performance for both domestic and international users.
Robust infrastructure with redundant storage, reliable power, and 24/7
operational monitoring.
Commitment to long-term service as part of our university’s mission to support
open-source and academic communities.
We aim to contribute to the Arch Linux global mirroring infrastructure by
providing a stable, high-performance mirror in East Asia, particularly
optimized for CERNET and IPv6 users.
If our application aligns with Arch Linux’s mirror requirements, we would be
grateful for guidance on the next steps—whether technical configurations,
formal agreements, or compliance reviews. We are prepared to provide further
details or adjust configurations as needed.
Thank you for your time and dedication to maintaining Arch Linux’s outstanding
distribution network. We look forward to your response.
