The base-meta change removed a dependency that the baseline iso relied on. As such, it now fails to build, expecting mkinitcpio to be present.
This change allows the construction of a functioning ISO which can be used to bootstrap a system. We may also wish to include an editor in the ISO, though it is technically possible to get by without.
