Your mileage may vary, but every time I have tried IPP, Windows has demanded that I install the native drivers for Windows. So to me, it seems like you have to use client side drivers -- I don't know if there's a way to make use of the CUPS drivers instead, but I'd be interested to know if there is.

Use the generic postscript driver, the client driver is, I think, just for formating the printout.
