Well, if you HAD access to a terminal, you could setup a serial terminal,
and would never have need of a monitor again.
But, since you can't get access to one presently, and you have no idea
what is going on on the box, then you are left with the option of
purchasing a super cheap vid card, or pulling the drive and putting it in
another box long enough to fix your problem..
then you could use a livecd, (maybe even arch install disk), chroot to
your install, and try figuring out what the problem is.
