IMHO, using a "sed -i" line in the PKGBUILD would be cleaner. Otherwise, I like the idea. Actually, even cleaner than that would be to do something like this... export CFLAGS="$CFLAGS -DPLATFORM=ArchLinux" but I tried that and kept getting odd errors on build.
