_My_ server does not have a screen! What's the difference?
Anyway, we are talking mainly about "sysctl -p" belonging there.
And that's a very flexible thing; the mplayer line _could_ then be
added to /etc/sysctl.conf (and I advocate this, but that is out
of rc.sysinit) - or not.
