Hi,

is your user member of "optical". Check with "groups" on command-line.

The problem is not a membership of the group. I can't start
the k3bsetup to check the privileges to cdrecord and devices.

IMHO You don`t need k3bsetup any more. You have just to be member of the right group.

I think I'm in right group

[20:[EMAIL PROTECTED] tomek]# cat /etc/group
root::0:root
bin::1:root,bin,daemon
daemon::2:root,bin,daemon
sys::3:root,bin
adm::4:root,daemon
tty::5:
disk::6:root
lp::7:daemon
mem::8:
kmem::9:
wheel::10:root
ftp::11:
mail::12:
smmsp::25:
nobody::99:
users::100:
slocate:x:21:
audio::92:tomek,aneta
usb::104:tomek
optical::93:tomek,aneta
mysql:x:89:
video:x:91:
floppy:x:94:
storage:x:95:
scanner:x:96:
named:x:40:
gdm:x:105:

And I'm logged as 'tomek'

Strange, M$ solution works. I just restart the box
and it works.
