Greetings All, I have an observation and then a question.
Observation: Since upgrading KDE to 3.4.1 a few days ago, it would appear that KDE as a whole is responding to application startups much quicker (sorry but can't provide empirical data, hence observation). Question: Is this because KDE was now compiled with a version of GCC that has the visibility patch applied as well as a version of KDE that takes advantage of it? I ask this because I noticed in one big swoop, qt and KDE were upgraded. I don't think that qt currently takes advantage of the visibility patch so I am assuming KDE itself is the "cause". I am not trying to start any type of flame war here. Just trying to understand what I am "seeing".
