I've just set up my own mythtv box in the last week or two and I'm
hooked. I'll be updating/maintaining the mythtv package in extra soon,
and will also be adding some packages for the plugins, for ivtv (for the
Hauppauge tuners) and nuvexport (for easy transcoding).
Thanks to kleptophobiac for his good PKGBUILDs in the AUR.
Has anyone else experienced a problem with 0.18.1 where mythtranscode
takes up most of the system's available RAM and brings it to its knees
when transcoding anything? It might also occur with other versions,
and/or it might only occur with the Hauppauge tuners. It's a plaguing
problem at the moment for me, and I won't release nuvexport until I've
figured out what the solution is.
Suggestions/comments welcomed. I will consider them and incorporate
whatever I can.
