as for the empty source/md5sums thing - sounds simple enough... I'm
going to assume there's an actual check for this and it's not just a
side effect.

PS - why doesn't the AUR use namcap?
Because. No reason that I'm aware of.
I *think* it might have been more involved than that.. but I'm not sure.
In any case, improving the parser is an issue that needs looking into,
and is on the docket.
