This is a terminfo issue - I had the same thing with centericq...

I solved this by including the following in my bashrc:

alias screen="TERM=screen screen"

I tested this configuration and it works pretty good on my Sarge Server
however on Arch i have some trouble with the [pos1] and [end] keys.

No idea how it's caused and how to solve it

That'd have to do with the terminal itself (and readline, indirectly)
- easiest thing to do is add the entries to you ~/.inputrc... you can
get the codes by editing it in vim and Hitting C-v,END and setting it
to "end-of-line" (you'll have to swap out the "e" stuff, like so:
http://phraktured.net/.inputrc

Yet another problem I encountered is how i'm unable to use my mouse in
elinks. As the elinks manual didn't return anything productive, and vim
wouldn't respond to mouse clicks, I was wondering if anyone of you guys
has got an idea..

This was sent just to me, so sending it to the list.... you have gpm
running, correct?

This sounds like YATII (Yet Another Term Info Issue) - I'm having a
few myself and am ready to break some crap. 8)

I didn't tested it with gpm so far. I did it right now and outside of screen it works, inside it doesn't..

A few other problems i encountered today: Vim.
[home]/[end] still doesn't work -- in X, that is.

It does however work in the console.

If we keep this thread up, and people who use screen, but do not experience these problems could help us with their apropriciate configs.

So long,
Igor.
