Yeah, you should be able to write a udev rule for it. Take a look at the wiki, there is loads of stuff for mapping devices with udev, from that you should be able to figure out how to set permissions

Hey all,

My daughter got a little MP3 player off E-Bay for her birthday and I am having problems getting access to it.

I have setup autofs to mount it in /media and have created the /media/usbstick directory. I can auto mount it just fine and read what is on it, but I have no write access to it. The permissions for it are 755 root:root.

Is there a way to change it to root:storage 775?

Thanks!!!

Joe
