Hi fellow Archers,

in the upcoming issue of the German Linux User magazine [1], Arch is the
featured distro on the accompanying CD and the install procedure is covered
in a (short) three page article.

As Linux User is a magazine targeted to the non-geek/not-too-technical
audience, this welcome (?) publicity will probably lead to a flush of new
(temporary) users that might have problems... So, we should be extra friendly
and patient. :)

The article is mainly very positive about Arch and even covers makepkg. One
point of critisism is that you cannot change the keymap from the installer.
From the article:

"Arch combines the good points of other distributions: the easy configuration
from Slackware, the package management from Debian, the build system from
Gentoo. The Installation is a lot of work. The reward for your effort is a
stable and fast system, which will let you learn much [about linux]."
(Please excuse any translation errors. I am not a professional translator.)

Thanks to Judd and the dev team for making such a great distribution, that now
slowly but deservedly takes a prime spot among the myriads of distros. :)

Cheers,
Bjoern
