OOoopsss Nevermind the bitstream Vera thingy. I found the fonts in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF/ !
I was looking for "vera" and not "Vera" (uppercase 'V') :s ! So there is still the kernel related question and another thing. At bootup, when hotplug starts, I get this message: "can't load module hw_random" Does this means I must recompile the kernel and enable that module ? What is the purpose of hw_random ?! Thanks.
