Mmm sure, that's the way used  by wikipedia to have different site.  
The only difficulty with that is to setup each wiki, I think.  Themes  
are shared. On the other hand it allow "leader" and moderators of one  
language to manage pages easily. Page could be even hosted in another  
server. For example we could host french wiki on current french  
server with url like fr.wiki.archlinux.org. Another advantage is a  
better position of pages in search engines.  So why not ? If you need  
help, don't hesitate ;)
