doing a makepkg is just fine if you are using the latest PKGBUILD and all..
(you know blah blah .. ;) heh)
remove your .openoffice or a folder that looks something like that, Start
openoffice with full path may be.. /opt/openoffice/program/swriter ..
I remember someone on irc having the same issue.. and the above solution
helped.
