Thank you David for your patience and responsiveness. I now have a
working gnucash2 (revision 12151 from SVN). I've finally been able to
start catching up on my finances :-) It doesn't crash, but there are a
few annonyances (especially regarding the completion).

I'm looking forward to the final realease of gnucash2...
