I strongly support what Damir Oscar & Thomas said on this dark subject.

French Assembly rejected yesterday a hideous Law project that comes more
or less from big majors or selfish artists. That law wants to makes
without-DRM-software out of the law !

A petition launched to counter this Project allready received ~150.000
signatures. >13.000 artists said (anonymously) they're oposed to such a
law, but main reliable action are coming from Software Cies & Open Source
community. And a lot of web sites are supporting (like mine on the
windows/news branch).

The matter is that mainstream medias focus on "sharing illegal stuff like
Music" & "That'll kill artists". They barelly say something about P2P
sharing legal stuff, French software & Open Source Cies (like Mandriva) :(

For those of you that may read French a bit, Le Monde (one of the main
French Newspaper) just published a article about that law the French
Government (did I write Majors) wants to implement ASAP.
It's so well writen I give you the title & link right away.

"La loi sur le droit d'auteur va-t-elle renforcer la position des géants
du logiciel ?"
