I've started comparing my Ubuntu box and a system running Arch. I'm
looking at applications and tasks I do regularly. The end goal is to
ditch Ubuntu altogether and only run Arch both at work and at home...

The latest problem is a bit out of my depth, printing!

On Ubuntu the GNOME apps know about the CUPS printers I've configured.
That knowledge is missing in Arch. It's not a biggie since I use only
one printer most of the time and `lpr` prints to it. However, when that
printer runs out of ink it'd be nice to be able to use another printer
without having to change the CUPS default.

`a2ps` produces ugly prints. Ugly, ugly ugly! `lpr` prints nicely, but I
like to save the forests and print two pages on one (-2) and the font is
hardly legible. How can I improve it?

/M
