How ridiculous.  I feel like an idiot.  Disabling adblock did it for me.

Try disabling adblock. I dont think that will really help, however. Try flash in another browser -- konqueror for instance. I stopped using firefox for the same reason -- it always used to go for a stroll when browsing a flash / pdf site.

Aggressive adblock settings?

As far as I can tell it has nothing to do with my adblock settings.  I'd feel really silly if that was the case.
