Morning ML, I was just thinking, would it hurt to have more packages with /etc/xinetd.d/* files? Most daemons provide both the standalone and the inetd method, still arch only has /etc/rc.d/* scripts for standalone use for most of them. In my case, I now run pidentd, openssh and bftpd with xinetd (because I don't use those daemons that often, so I just thought they don't need to run the whole time). IMHO it would be cool if such packages provided both a /etc/rc.d script and a /etc/xinetd.d configuration file.
