i buyed penpartner 2 and to my surprise, kernel 2.6.15 already
contains a driver that makes it work. also xorg 6.8.x has a driver
that makes it work also with pressure. i built linuxwacom without the
drivers for the apps to test things.

for support of wacom devices in arch there are open questions arising:

- would it make sense to provide linuxwacom in [extra]?

- would it make sense to disable the drivers in official kernel and X
and use the latest linuxwacom ones?

i'm willing to maintain the pkgs (as i now own the hardware and need
the software). before i decide, i want to have community feedback on
matters.

thanx in advance

one small thing: if i use the stylus mode in gimp, i don't know how to
stop using stylus and use the core pointer (=mouse) again. is there
some secret key combination to switch between stylus and core
pointer?

greetings,
Damir
