Hi,
really really thanks to everyone my "crisis" is almost over and I'm
very happy:).

This is step by step procedure I did ( sometimes people reads
MailingList archieves):
- the fridge trick didn't work so I bought a new hdd bigger than the
other and used dd_rescue
- I made a partition(sda1) bigger than the broken one (sdb6) and
issued :dd_rescue -v /dev/sdb6 /dev/sda1 ,the -v option was usefull
for me because everything seemed to stuck when dd_rescue was running
under X( that means everything,no keyb,no virtual consoles ecc
ecc).Best is to do the job without X.
-I got 1880 errors and it took about 8 hours to complete the job
-sda1 was still unmountable so i did a e2fsck -y /dev/sda1
-after that sda1 was mountable but every file was not in its original
directory ,exporing lost+founds as root showed every file that was
missing, mostly with wrong filename and in random
position/directory.Well in any case files are accessible and
readble,that is they work!!!

Hurry in a situation like this is really really bad as RedShift said
it definetely makes you breake things up

I still have to follow next procedure in order to find out if my hdd
is still usable ( but in any case it WON'T be trusted) but the "big
deal" is done. After my first message I tought that noone would answear
, i was answeared and found the solution too.
Very Very happy thanks and what dd_rescue author tells us seems to be true:
Just one note: It does work. I unfortunately did not just create this
program for fun ...

that unfortunately tells me that he had a maxtor too...

P.S. Bad news are that because I was in hurry and i live in a small
city I had to buy a maxtor.....again :(
