Same for me. I'm using luxi as interface font in kde. Worked nicely with OOo
until recently. Had to change OOo interface font to vera.
Seems that several fonts render badly.
I tried to re-install ttf fonts with spadmin, but that gave no improvement.
Checked freetype version under /usr/lib, nothing wrong.
I would be gratefull if someone had a clue.
Oh btw I noticed that both with LCD and CRT.
