Clarification from the lead Hedlinux developer: >From Vincent Fretin: I'm the maintainer of the Hedinux GNU/Linux distribution. Please forgive my poor English. I am French. I'd like to explain what's going on... I've read your archlinux mailing-list: http://www.archlinux.org/pipermail/arch/2006-March/009328.html and like you, I was very surprised that the description of the Hedinux distribution was exactly the same words as the Archlinux about page.
I didn't write this description. Actually it was a great archlinux contributor who contributed to the hedinux project and who wrote it. He created the hedinux project on gna.org, and I've copy-paste the description into the wiki. If I had known it was the same wording, I didn't copy it. Knowing this now, I will write a new description myself. Don't worry. The hedinux project is totally different from Archlinux. It is based almost stricly to the LFS book, BLFS book, and Konstruct. The package manager is written in bash/perl/xml by me. It is very apt-get similar, but it's absolutly not apt-get. I never used pacman of my life, I never tested archlinux anyway. The system for compiling packages is inspired on "GAR ports system by Nick Moffitt (http://www.lnx-bbc.org/garchitecture.html) and is inspired by GARNOME distribution started by Jeff Waugh (http://cipherfunk.org/garnome/)."
