Does is have to be before/after any of the other services in the daemons list?
Or I just place it anyplace in the list?

I would say as long as its not before the important daemons (syslog, network) and before the login manager (xdm/gdm/kdm), its okay... i personnaly load it in background (@) without any troubles...
