I know it will and for the most part I've done so already. The thing is that it also needs a custom kernel. Because I've six equal servers (blade) I made a monolithic custom kernel which most probably will only fit on that server (Dell 1655MC). For other users to be able to use the OpenVZ I want to provide them the Arch Linux kernel config patched with the OpenVZ patch. Only the problem is that OpenVZ's latest patch is for kernel 2.6.8, a kernel that isn't even used by Arch. I'm afraid that this is what is going to take some time to figure out.

If you are going to run OpenVZ on Arch, you might as well write a
PKGBUILD for it: it'll make your life a lot easier updating your
OpenVZ installation.

Post the PKGBUILD on the AUR (aur.archlinux.org) or the forum and
you'll soon see if there's any interest.
