Hi, sorry to be asking a question which may seem quite simple like this, but i have been scratching my head to come up with a solution for this, but found none. 'man xterm' didnt do it for me (loong, lengthy manpage), and a search in the forums or on the net didnt really do anything either.
Seems like my last update (which was, admittedly, a major update - to xorg 7) changed the "default" (???) settings for xterm to use a menu bar (or "toolbar", as it may be called). I know from reading 'man xterm' that i may use the 'set-toolbar' action to get rid of the toolbar, but this is only after the fact - ie., only after xterm has been displayed, and the toolbar is displayed, but is there any other way out? such that the toolbar is automatically removed upon xterm display, and there is no need for me to trigger the 'set-toolbar' action? Could somebody help me out here? ps. i have looked through /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/XTerm as well - cant make out too much sense from it, and cant, by just looking at it, figure out how to get rid of the toolbar as wel. thanks, -jf _______________________________________________ arch mailing list [email protected] http://www.archlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/arch
