This might be a bit overkill. First of all, there is no simple solution.
The easiest way that comes to mind is to write a macro for openoffice
and call OO from the commandline with the macro as argument from a
shellscript that loops over your docs. If you think that's odd ... true.
If you hope it gets easier ... I don't think so.
