Will upgrading to gcc 4.1 and glibc 2.4 require many other packages to be rebuilt?
I know the kernel will have to be compiled with gcc4.1 otherwise nvidia kernel module won't compile because if will only compile with the same gcc version used to compile the kernel.

Somewhere this week glibc 2.4 will enter testing, together with gcc 4.1

This means, that if you use testing on a 2.4 box, you should not upgrade
to packages in testing after the glibc 2.4 package has gone in.
