hm, it seems there were some changes in the way the scaling values are
calculated. That is an upstream issue that must be taken care of by the
developers of digikam. For the time being I can just recomment to use
gimp-ufraw for the conversion. It sports an standalone raw converter
invoked by 'ufraw'.
It does not depend on gimp but it brings a plugin for it, hence the name.
