IMHO etcnet is too complicated and not fits well into Arch philosophy.
It also seems to require iproute2. But I think Arch can take some
ideas from etcnet to improve network profiles features. Anyway network
profiles and/or etcnet[-like] config systems should stay _optional_
feature, as IMHO many users are satisfied with simple network config
in rc.conf. Setting simple network config using more complicated
system (like etcnet) is a bit overkill (IMHO).
Don't forget that etcnet was originally designed for use with ALT
Linux which uses System V style initscripts, while Arch uses BSD
style.
