I'm still trying to sort this out. But I can say that I'm further along than before. I believe that this may be a firewall issue introduced on another computer near the same time. When I have a chance, I'll run some experiments by taking that computer off of the network, and check things before and after. Thanks again for taking some time to consider my questions and reply.
