Hi Buzz, IMHO the best tool to start from is SynCE: http://synce.sourceforge.net/synce .
Unfortunately there is no Arch pkg, but it's not so hard to build synce from source. They also provide a protocol to browse and manipulate your device filesystem with Konqueror. I use it for my WinCE cellphone, and it works fine. Serge.
