Well, I suspect that with Bootcamp (since it's basically designed to
boot/load Windows) that, yeah, some kind of NTBootloader would be needed
to boot the kernel. But that would probably be a last resort. The biggest
hurdle (from what I read) is the new EFI.
Taken from http://www.technewsworld.com/story/48510.html This article was
specificaly geard towards "another" distro, but applies to any really.

Specifically, the Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI), a relatively new
BIOS replacement that Intel designed, is not yet commonly used or widely
supported.
Linux EFI does exist in a special form called elilo. However, the elilo
code, dubbed LILO bootloader, would have to be ported to Intel's x86
architecture before Red Hat could integrate it into Linux distributions
that would run on Apple's new hardware.

Then I found this...
http://refit.sourceforge.net/
And this...

So, it looks like it's possible... yes. I don't want to be the first to
try it... so please, someone let me know how it works ;)

With BootCamp, Lilo or Grub can boot from local root partition, not MBR, like lilo -b /dev/sda3 or grub --install-partition=/dev/sda3
