KDE should do the same AFAIK. > Well, "pacman -Qi gnome-vfs" tells me that version 2.14.2-1 does still depend on fam. bmpx (from extra) and thunar-svn (from shadowhand's repo) are the other two packages on my machine that need fam. Is inotify provided by extra/libnotify ?
(BTW, the issue I reported yesterday only occured once, and it seems that the update of either acroread or cups was behind it, as it was triggered at the very instant I tried to print from acroread (which caused acroread to eat up my CPU and freeze).
