It would be possible, but it would require a single fuse package for each kernel. It is generally less work to have it in the kernel. > This is only a question because i think you know it better what is easier to > handle this in the future. I hope there will be no "in the future". fuse kernel module changes are ahead of the mainline kernel, and ntfs-3g actually depends on those changes. I think either ntfs-3g guys should be slower or the kernel guys should include it faster (changes are in -mm kernel). FUSE 2.6.1 has some minor changes to the kernel module, but I think we can live without them for now. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFcskjEda5KzHP/VARAncdAJ9eVazvr6Lg8lFsIbJdXVN9dVb0qACgminh X1yGAdr6K/OB0QbHBxOCuF0= =m0k7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ arch mailing list [email protected] http://www.archlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/arch
