Assuming that your problem is that you're not sure that your email has
been delivered, then there are two that I can think of:

1) Don't use Gmail

2) Check the archives (e.g. http://tinyurl.com/y8g2pg )

Your email should still appear threaded with everything else, so
readability shouldn't be a problem...
