hai all,

i like "the Arch way" & started using Arch 0.7.2 i686 on my AMD64. i
did only "base" install & emacs, Xorg, GNOME were installed thorugh
pacman. GNOME runs fine but nearly 95% of the times, i can not access
the "upper-panel" & hence the GNOME menu. NO, it does not die, it *is*
there but i can not access it. if i kill X using "C-M-backspace" &
login again i get amessage that says:

" i have detected a panel already running, i will now exit"

and then i dont see my upper-panel :-( if i "restart" my system then
after 15 or so minutes the problem returns and upper-panel becomes
inaccessible & hence the GNOME menu too becomes inaccessible. i think
its is a BUG.

i also posted it on "Arch Forums" & did not get any solution. i am
posting it here so that this bug can be fixed in the next version,
Arch 0.8 & then i will be able to use it.
