Hate to break it to you, but you're wrong in this case:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ pacman -Si openssh
Repository        : current
Name              : openssh
Version           : 4.5p1-1
Groups            : None
Provides          : None
Depends On        : openssl>=0.9.8b pam tcp_wrappers zlib
Conflicts With    : None
Replaces          : None
Size (compressed) : 686444
Description       : A Secure SHell server/client
MD5 Sum           : b5e571421522c00177149c9204408503

"Size (compressed)" is how big the download is. The db knows the size
(both remote db and the one you download onto your machine on -Sy).

I haven't really spoken up on this because I don't like the idea. Too
much unnecessary information for me. I wouldn't complain if it was an
option/config though (but I'd want no individual size to be the
default ;) ).
