Last time i checked the amarok-base in the extras repo DOES have mysql
enabled, but since not many people have those libraries or want mysql its not
build in by default.

Install libmysqlclient and mysql-clients for MySQL and pkgconfig for any other
library Amarok might need find in order to build.

        # pacman -S mysql-clients libmysqlclient pkgconfig

Update your abs:

        # abs

Build for your self

        # cd /var/abs/extra/multimedia/amarok-base
        # makepkg
        # pacman -A amarok-base-1.4.4-3.pkg.tar.gz

That should fix that problem aswell as many others.
